Connecticut Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 20 hours are required every year, due by the last day of February. At least 6 hours must be in pathology, detection of diabetes, and ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, and at least 6 hours must be in treatment as it applies to the use of ocular therapeutic. A maximum of 6 hours may be in practice management.

Connecticut accepts 6 hours in approved online continuing education courses. Licensees must attest completion on the renewal application and must maintain certificates of completed courses.

Access Optometry is accredited by COPE to provide continuing education for optometrists. These courses are accepted for optometry license renewal by the Connecticut Department of Public Health, Board of Examiners for Optometrists.
