Below are details about optometry continuing education and license renewal in Utah.

Utah Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 30 hours are required every two years, due by September 30. If the optometrist prescribes controlled substances, 4 hours are required in opioid-related education.

Utah accepts all 30 hours in approved online continuing education courses. Licensee must attest completion on state board forms and are subject to audit. 

Access Optometry is accredited by COPE to provide continuing education for optometrists. These courses are accepted for optometry license renewal by the Utah Board of Optometry.
