Below are details about optometry continuing education and license renewal in Vermont.

Vermont Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 40 hours are required every two years, due by July 31. 20 hours must be in therapeutic pharmaceutical agent education, which includes clinical instruction on the use of pharmaceutical agents and the management of complications arising from their use, including glaucoma treatment. 

Vermont accepts 10 hours in approved online continuing education courses. Licensee must attest completion on state board forms and are subject to audit. 

Access Optometry is accredited by COPE to provide continuing education for optometrists. These courses are accepted for optometry license renewal by the Vermont Board of Optometry
