Below are details about optometry continuing education and license renewal in Oregon.

Oregon Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 18 hours are required each year, due by the license end date. At least 9 hours must be in the area of diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease. Every other license year, licensees must also complete 1 hour of Oregon specific-Ethics or Oregon Law, 1 hour of Pain Management, and 1 hour of Cultural Competency.

Oregon accepts all 18 hours in approved online continuing education courses. Licensee must submit certificates of completion with their renewal form.

Access Optometry is accredited by COPE to provide continuing education for optometrists. These courses are accepted for optometry license renewal by the Oregon Board of Optometry.
