Minnesota Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 40 hours are required every two years, due by December 31. A maximum of 6 hours may be in earned in practice management.

Minnesota accepts 15 hours in online continuing education courses. Licensees must report CE credits through OE Tracker, which is uploaded electronically by the course sponsor. 

New Licensee Renewals: A licensee first licensed by examination or reciprocity in the first year of the biennial CE cycle is exempt from CE for that year but must complete 20 hours for the second year of the period. A licensee first licensed in the second year of the cycle is exempt from CE for the entire biennial period.
