Washington Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 50 hours are required every two years, due by licensee's birthdate. A minimum of 2 hours is required in Health Equity every four years (which counts toward the 50-hour total) and a one-time 3-hour suicide prevention training requirement.
Washington accepts 25 hours in approved online continuing education courses. Licensee must attest completion on state board forms and are subject to audit.
Access Optometry is accredited by COPE to provide continuing education for optometrists. These courses are accepted for optometry license renewal by the Washington Board of Optometry.
