Below are details about optometry continuing education and license renewal in New Mexico.

New Mexico Optometry Continuing Education Requirements:
22 hours are required every year, due by June 30th. At least 10 hours must be in clinical or ocular therapeutic pharmacology, and at least 1 hour must be in pain management or a related topic.

New Mexico accepts 6 hours in online continuing education courses. Licensees may be audited and must submit documentation if requested. 

Access Optometry is accredited by COPE to provide continuing education for optometrists. These courses are accepted for optometry license renewal by the New Mexico Board of Optometry.
