Below are details about optometry continuing education and license renewal in Missouri.

Missouri Optometry Continuing Education Requirements: 32 hours are required every two years, due by October 31. At least 2 hours must be in Missouri jurisprudence. 

Missouri accepts 16 hours in online continuing education courses. Licensees must maintain certificates of completion.

New Licensee Renewals: Optometrists who obtain a license by endorsement during the second year of a two-year reporting period are required to obtain 16 hours of continuing education to renew the license for the first renewal. Optometrists who obtain a license by examination are considered to have satisfied the CE requirement for the first renewal after the initial license date.
